Description

Let’s Talk Design (since 2013) is a series of evenings with speakers from the creative sector talking about their work. At our events, we let established creatives talk about their work next to young & upcoming talent. Our events are all about getting inspired and connect with fellow creatives in an open low-key environment.

Speakers

Quanhui Yu
illustrator and animation director  

Qian-Hui Yu is an animation director and illustrator based in Stoke-on-Trent, U.K., and is currently represented by the creative agency POCKO. She graduated from the Royal College of Art and has worked on a wide range of animation and illustration projects.

Her clients include Hyundai, Coldplay, Bloomberg Businessweek, The New York Times Book Review, WIRED, and the Los Angeles Times. She has also designed book covers for major publishers like Penguin Random House and Faber Children’s. Qian’s work often draws inspiration from nature, dreams, and the surreal moments of everyday life, resulting in whimsical visual narratives.

Lieselot Coenen
partner and designer at de Ronners

Lieselot Coenen is partner and director at de Ronners, a graphic design studio with an international team based in both Antwerp and Rotterdam. In 2016, she founded the Belgian branch of the studio in collaboration with Arwen and Matthijs Ronner. Known for its distinctive cultural branding, the studio thrives on the fusion of Dutch boldness and Belgian finesse. 

De Ronners’ portfolio spans a wide range of sectors, including museums, cultural institutions, architectural firms, governmental organizations, and both corporate and non-profit clients. The studio prides itself on blending creative flair with strategic thinking to produce work that leaves a lasting impression. Fascinated by typography and colourful design, de Ronners deliver vibrant multidisciplinary work that integrates motion design, branding, and spatial design.

Sacha Krinstinsky
creative director of King of Hearts

Sacha Krinstinsky studied Fine Arts at Sint Lucas Antwerp and began his career in 1999 at iMotion, one of Belgium’s early internet pioneers. After a brief period there, he moved into freelancing in 2001, building a strong reputation with clients like Starwood Hotels, These Days, Duval Guillaume E, and the Mode Museum.

In 2004, he founded Gonzales, a mixed media production company that grew from a small web agency into a respected creative studio.

Today, as partner and Creative Director at King of Hearts, Sacha brings a strategic and visually driven approach to brand and campaign development. His work spans across clients including Cardo Hotels (Rome and Brussels), Disney, Timmermans, Samsonite, Dominique London, Corvinus University in Budapest, and several real estate projects in the European district. His focus is on translating cultural relevance and creative insight into purposeful design.

Jonas Devacht
illustrator

Jonas Devacht is a Belgium-based freelance illustrator and designer with a background in both illustration and design. He partners with studios, agencies, and brands across the globe, creating work across campaigns, branding, apparel, murals, and motion. Jonas’ style is driven by curiosity, craft, and a love for bold, maximalist visuals, always pushing creative ideas in new directions.
